Hallie Cooper

Growing up in Los Angeles, Hallie made her stage debut as Munchkin #9 in "The Wizard of Oz" when she was 5 years old.  She decided to leave the big city for college and went to the 

University of North Carolina School of the Arts. (Some alumni include Mary Louise Parker, Chris Parnell, Dane DeHaan, Billy Magnussen.)

 

 

Receiving her BFA in Acting studying under Dean Gerald Freedman, (leading director of Shakespeare in the Park with Joseph Papp, director of the original Broadway production of Hair, and the first American director to direct at the Globe Theatre in London) she had conservatory training in Shakespeare, Movement/Mask, Voice and Speech (Linklater and Alexander), Dialect work, Stage Combat, Dance, and Singing. 

 

 

She now lives in Washington DC, completing her Directing Fellowship with The Kennedy Center. She remains an LA local hire for life.
